Source
A magnetic alignment device applies a magnetic field to a negative electrode slurry by introducing a magnet part to an upper and a lower portion of a negative electrode current collector on which the negative electrode slurry is applied, respectively. By applying a stronger magnetic field in a second region of the magnet part located downstream along the transfer direction of the negative electrode current collector than in a first region of the magnet part located upstream, and by arranging a drying part adjacent to the end of the second region where the stronger magnetic field is applied, a negative electrode having a significantly higher alignment of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in the negative electrode slurry can be manufactured. A method for manufacturing a negative electrode using the magnetic alignment device is also provided.
