The digital communication interface () may be configured to receive an input signal () via a control bus (). The DC power supply () may be configured to provide a DC output () to the control bus (). The controller () may be coupled to the digital communication interface () and the DC power supply () and may be configured to control the emergency driver () to operate in a first operation mode. The input signal () received at the digital communication interface () may be a digital input signal when the emergency driver is operating in a first operation mode.
