Airbag guided by seat belt

Embodiments of the invention provide airbags (12) that are guided by the seat belt, but that are not installed or incorporated into the seat belt itself. The airbags may be installed on a seat side, seat backrest, or in the seat armrest. The airbags are associated with a guiding strip (16) that uses the seat belt to guide the airbag into the proper position in front of the passenger.
