ELECTRIC POWER-FACILITY PROVIDED WITH A MEANS FOR STORING POWER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH A FACILITY

The installation has an electricity generating unit (1) i.e. gas turbine, that is connected to a distribution network (Res). An energy storage unit (2) is utilized for storing kinetic energy and electrical energy. A controller (3) is utilized for managing operations of the storage unit. The controller receives a series of information from the network, the storage unit, and a network operator for controlling generation of electricity that is delivered to the network and auxiliary installation systems from the energy storage unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an electricity generating installation.
