The air exhausting method of the vehicle brake system includes: a first step of actuating a slave cylinder on a pressurization side in a state where a switching valve communicates the slave cylinder with a brake fluid pressure control device, so that air retained in a passage section from the slave cylinder to the brake fluid pressure control device is exhausted from an air exhausting hole; a second step of actuating the slave cylinder on a depressurization side after the first step in a state where the air exhausting hole is closed, so that air retained in a bypass passage moves toward the passage section; and performing the first step again after the second step, so that air moved from the bypass passage to the passage section is exhausted from the air exhausting hole.",
