Method for providing a display in a motor vehicle dependent on a viewing direction of the driver of a vehicle

The method involves detecting the viewing direction of vehicle driver (16). The detected viewing direction of vehicle driver is used to determine whether the display location is to be represented in central field of view (26) of driver or peripheral field of view (28a,28b) of driver. The viewing representation of driver on display is selected among two different display modes, based on determination result. An independent claim is included for a motor vehicle.
