Attachment system for a bicycle wheel
DRIVE
May 15, 2013
The system (40) has an axle body receiving a hub (36) of a running wheel (30). An end of the axle body comprises an external thread that is screwed into a receiving aperture of a frame element with a matching internal thread. An attachment device attaches a tool at another end of the axle body to screw-in the axle body with the external thread and releasably mount the running wheel. An axially extending cavity is arranged in the axle body, and serves as a tool holder in which the tool is partially received for mounting and releasing the axle body. The axle body is designed as a through-axle. An independent claim is also included for a running wheel.
