Electrically driven vehicle

The invention refers to an electrically driven vehicle comprising: a rotating electric machine (140, 190) including a rotating shaft (150, 200), a rotor (170, 220) mounted on said rotating shaft (150, 200), for corotating with said rotating shaft (150, 200), and a stator (160, 210) opposed to said rotor (170, 220) at a prescribed interval, with said rotor (170, 220) and said stator (160, 210) so formed that an air gap length functioning as magnetic resistance is adjustable; and a vehicle state detecting portion (60, 110) for detecting a vehicle state, wherein said air gap length is adjusted on the basis of a signal indicating said vehicle state detected by said vehicle state detecting portion (60, 110), wherein said stator (160, 210) includes a first stator (161, 211) and a second stator (162, 212) opposed to each other at a prescribed interval, and said air gap length is adjusted by moving at least one of said first stator (161, 211) and said second stator (162, 212).
