The method involves generating multiple particles comprising a possible position of a user equipment (20), and calculating a translation of each particle in accordance with a displacement measuring equipment (22). The suppressed particles are integrated (28) together when the number of particles reaches at a threshold (TH). A cloud of particles positioned in a limited area of a particle environment is detected (30) from a group of particles. Each detected cloud particle is processed (32) to determine a possible location of the equipment associated with the cloud particle.
