Keder groove for protecting a profile strip

The strip (1) has a core portion (10) fixable within a latching recess (101) of a profile strip in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner. A projection portion (20) projects out from the latching recess when the strip is inserted into the recess. The projection portion comprises a coupling region for a tool (200), where the coupling region partially extends over length of the projection portion. The coupling region has a cross-section with a recess for coupling with the tool. The recess has an undercut transverse to removal direction (R1). The core portion and the projection portion are respectively designed as two linear bodies. The tool is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a tool for removal of a keder strip from a latching recess of a profile strip.
