Hybrid drive

The drive has an internal combustion engine (1) and an electrical drive motor (5) for driving a vehicle i.e. refuse collection vehicle. A current generating assembly (6) is driven by another internal combustion engine, and supplies current to the motor. The engine (1) and the motor are alternatively and simultaneously switched by a transfer gear-box (4) for driving the vehicle. An energy storage (7) stores electricity generated by the assembly. Drive electronics (8) controls the motor based on driver signals.
