A pneumatic tire (1) comprises a tread portion (2) including a plurality of land portions (4) separated by at least two longitudinal grooves (3) extending continuously in a circumferential direction of the tire, a plurality of lateral grooves (6) crossing the longitudinal grooves to form block rows (8) comprising a plurality of blocks (7) arranged in the circumferential direction of the tire, at least one block having at least two sipes (S) extending in an axial direction of the tire to divide at least three block-pieces (11), wherein the total axial length (S1) of all the sipes is in a range of from 100 to 400 times the tread width (TW) , the outer piece of the block has a circumferential length larger than that of the inner piece of the block, and a ratio of the circumferential length (L5(x)) of the outer piece to the circumferential length (L5(x-1)) of the inner piece is greater than 1.0 and smaller than 3.0.
