"textContent": "The method involves adjusting a pitch angle of a rotor blade of a wind power plant using an electric motor (14) of a pitch system (10), and temporarily supplying electric power to the motor from an external supply network (22) in a normal operation mode of the plant. The blade is moved into a securing position by the motor, and the power is supplied to the motor from an emergency energy storage (18) of the system in an emergency operation mode of the plant. The motor is temporarily supplied with the power from the storage in the normal operation mode to check characteristics of the storage. The external supply network is designed as a three-phase alternating voltage system. The emergency energy storage is designed as a double-layer capacitor, and capacitance and/or internal resistance of the capacitor are checked as the characteristics of the emergency energy storage. An independent claim is also included for a pitch system for adjusting a pitch angle of a rotor blade of a wind power plant.",
