A method for controlling a power supply system of a vehicle that includes: a first step of permitting or prohibiting, based on a combination of normality and abnormality of the respective energy storage apparatuses , each of the energy storage apparatuses to cut off supply of current such that the current cut-off device of at least one of the energy storage apparatuses is brought into an energized state; and a second step of bringing the current cut-off device into a cut-off state when a BMU of the energy storage apparatus that is permitted to cut off the current detects an abnormality of the energy storage apparatus at a point of time that the cut-off of the supply of current is permitted, or when the BMU detects an abnormality of the energy storage apparatus after the cut-off of the supply of current is permitted.
