Battery bank power control apparatus and method

A battery bank power control apparatus controls a power of a battery bank having a plurality of battery racks, and includes a power adjusting unit configured to adjust a magnitude of a bank power amount input to or output from all of the plurality of battery racks based on a preset bank power limit; a power measuring unit configured to measure a rack power amount for each of the plurality of battery racks; and a bank control unit configured to set the bank power limit based on the rack power measurement value of each battery rack measured by the power measuring unit. The battery bank power control apparatus may effectively prevent a specific battery rack from being damaged due to power imbalance between battery racks in the battery bank including a plurality of battery racks.
