Holding device

The holder has a frame element (2) fixed at a motor car by a mounting portion (22). A carriage (4) comprises an engagement unit (42) for fastening a child seat and/or a baby shell at the carriage. The carriage is displaceably supported in a guide section (24) of the frame element. An absorber element (6) is arranged between the frame element and the carriage such that displacement of the carriage relative to the frame element occurs only under deformation of the absorber element in order to attenuate load swings of the motor car on the child seat and/or the baby shell.
