Control device

The device (60) has a housing (66) including a signal transmitter for providing control signals for a device to be controlled, and a battery holder (62) for receiving a rechargeable battery (20). The battery holder holds the battery such that the battery is displaceable between a switch-on position in which the battery supplies electric current to the control device, and a switch-off position in which the signal transmitter is deactivated. The control device and the battery are electrically separated from each other when the battery is in the switch-off position. An independent claim is also included for a rechargeable battery for a control device.
