HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

DRIVE February 27, 2013
Source
The system has a distributor (102) dividing a coolant flow into a first coolant flow for cooling an indirect intercooler (104) for an engine (114) i.e. internal combustion engine, of a vehicle, and a second coolant flow for cooling an indirect condenser (106) of an air conditioning apparatus of the vehicle. A withdrawn-side thermostat (108) is integrated in the intercooler, and senses temperature of the first coolant flow at an output of the intercooler. The thermostat controls mass flow of the first coolant flow through the intercooler based on the sensed temperature. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a heat exchanger system for a vehicle.
