Method of operating a power plant with exhaust gas recirculation
DRIVE

A main air compressor (12) delivers a compressed ambient gas flow (26) with a compressed ambient gas flow rate to a turbine combustor (32). A fuel stream (28) with a flow rate is delivered to the turbine combustor (32) and mixed with the compressed ambient gas flow (26) and an exhaust gas flow (50) and burned with substantially stoichiometric combustion to form the exhaust gas flow (50) and drive a turbine (34), to operate at a first load. A portion of the exhaust gas flow (50) is recirculated from the turbine (34) to the turbine compressor (30) and a portion is delivered to an exhaust path (39). The fuel stream flow rate and the compressed ambient gas flow rate are reduced, substantially stoichiometric combustion is maintained, to operate at a second load. The fuel stream flow rate is further reduced, lean combustion achieved, to operate at a third load.
