VEHICLE SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE

The present invention is directed towards achieving a simplified configuration and reduction of cost in a side airbag with interior partitioned into plural chambers. The side airbag (16) configured in a bag shape by an outer cloth (24) and an inner cloth (26) is partitioned by partitioning members (21, 22) into a lower chamber (28, 34) (one or more high pressure chambers) on the high pressure side during inflation and deployment and a upper chamber (32) (low pressure chamber). The partitioning members (21, 22) are each configured from a single piece of cloth or from plural pieces of cloth that have been integrated together in advance. The partitioning members (21, 22) are each provided with a partitioning wall (38, 58), a diffuser (42, 62) and a non-return valve (44, 64).
