The invention relates to a three-phase alternating current generator which is provided with an exciter assembly solidly connected to two independent energy assemblies and which is intended for turbines, such as wind or water turbines, wherein said generator receives reactive energy from the electrical grid and dispenses with the use of gearboxes, brushes and slip rings
