Hose closure

The closure has plate-shaped insert pieces (20a, 20b) inserted into an end of a rubber hose (2), and elastomer bodies (40a, 40b) for closing the hose end and made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. The bodies are molded at the hose and extend in a longitudinal direction. Free ends of the insert pieces extend over the hose end and are surrounded by the bodies. The insert pieces comprise a barbed projection (26a) at opposite sides of a hose interior region and are pierced into a wall of the hose using the projection. The insert pieces are made of a non-conductive material. An independent claim is also included for an injection vulcanization device for manufacturing a hose closure.
