Pneumatic valve in a slider design

The pneumatic valve (1) has a valve slide portion (31) that is displaced in axial direction of recess (9) formed in housing (3). The outer surface (34) of valve slide portion is sealed corresponding to axial positions of valve slide portion adjacent to valve chambers (39,40) by using a bypass portion (37). The axial position of a spacer element (20) is set based on control edges (25b-25d) of sealing elements (21b-21d) inserted into recess. The axial positions of control edges, spacer element and/or a bias unit are adjusted by the operation of a screw (23). An independent claim is included for a method for assembling slide type pneumatic valve.
