VEHICLE FRONT SECTION STRUCTURE

A vehicle front section structure capable of reducing the maximum load acting on an impacting body when the impacting body impacts a bumper cover from the vehicle front side. In a vehicle front section structure (10), a load is input from the vehicle front side to a grille main body portion (20B) of a radiator grille (20) when an impacting body (36) impacts a bumper cover (12) from the vehicle front side. A weakened portion for rotation (20F) provided between a fixed portion (20A) and a grille main body portion (20B) of the radiator grille (20) thereby bends, and the grille main body portion (20B) rotates towards a retreat position on the vehicle rear side. Partway through rotation the contact portion (20D) provided to the radiator grille (20) makes contact with a bumper reinforcement (32). The load acting on the impacting body (36) accordingly starts to increase, however when a contact side weakened portion (20E) bends due the above contact, the contact portion (20D) is folded up and the contact state is released.
