DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
DRIVE
January 2, 2013
The disclosed internal combustion engine (1) has an electric water pump (56) and a water temperature sensor (92) that detects coolant water temperature (THW). An electronic control device (91) stops the driving of the water pump (56) when the coolant water temperature (THW) is lower than a baseline temperature (THW). Meanwhile, the electronic control device (91) drives the water pump (56) in accordance with the coolant water temperature (THW) when the coolant water temperature (THW) is higher than the baseline temperature (THW). When the driving of the water pump (56) is stopped, the internal combustion engine (1) forbids at least one engine control until the water pump (56) is driven.
