A vehicle headlight () includes: an image generation unit () configured to generate an image representing at least one of at least a part of a low beam light distribution pattern or at least a part of a high beam light distribution pattern; a light source unit () including a plurality of light emitting units and configured to emit light based on the image generated by the image generation unit (), the plurality of light emitting units being configured to individually change an amount of light to be emitted, and arranged in a matrix; and a memory (ME) configured to store a first image for forming a first light distribution pattern by light emitted from the light source unit (), and a second image for forming a second light distribution pattern by light emitted from the light source unit (), the second light distribution pattern being different from the first light distribution pattern and at least partially overlapping the first light distribution pattern, in which the image generation unit () generates the image by superimposing the second image on at least a part of the first image and fading in the second image, and fading out the first image.
