Embodiments herein relate to an arrangement (1) and method for improving the performance of a safety-critical vehicle actuator (4, 5), in particular a safety-critical vehicle actuator (4, 5) powered directly or indirectly from a vehicle electrical system. The safety-critical vehicle actuator (4, 5) is arranged to, upon activation thereof, signal to an alternator (3) of the vehicle to output a raised voltage for a pre-determined time period.
