Motor vehicle undercarriage component

The landing gear component (1) has a forged base body (2) made of a light metal material which is added with a strengthening body (3) made of fiber material. The base body and the strengthening body is connected in a force-fit manner by a layer of adhesive. A region of the base body is plastic deformed, and embraces the strengthening body in a partially form-fit manner. The strengthening body is made of carbon fiber-strengthened plastic, where the layer of adhesive is made of an adhesive based on epoxy resin.
