Synchronisation of an inverter with an electrical circuit network

The method involves determining whether required output power (14) of inverter exceeds power limit to synchronize inverter voltage with line voltage of electrical supply. The line voltage is detected and inverter voltage is adjusted to be equal to detected line voltage if output power exceeds power limit. The inverter output power retrieved by network is detected and inverter voltage is adjusted by removing discontinued inverter voltage based on inverter-static characteristic curve which confronts output power and voltage of inverter if output power is less than power limit. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) apparatus for controlling inverter; and (2) inverter.
