System for thermal conditioning of a passenger compartment and an electric battery

The system has an air conditioning loop (B) circulating coolant fluid and comprising a compressor (2), an evaporator (28) for cooling air flow to a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, and a trigger device (26). A branch is dedicated to thermal treatment of an electric battery of the vehicle, and comprises a heat exchanger (48) i.e. condenser, with the battery and an expansion device (24). A pressure regulating device (25) regulates pressure of the cooling fluid leaving the branch with a value identical to pressure of the cooling liquid leaving the evaporator. An independent claim is also included for a method for thermal management of a thermal conditioning system.
