In order to achieve the objective, a seal ring is combined with a back ring, and the back ring is comprised of a lip packing wherein one end of an annular base portion in the axial direction is provided with an inner lip and an outer lip, and the outer peripheral surface of the annular base portion is provided with an annular protrusion for setting a margin for the compression of the back ring in the radial direction. The outer lip is brought into close contact with a cylinder to seal fluid to be sealed, and is pushed by pressure accumulated in a space on the other end in the axial direction so that the outer lip is spaced from the cylinder to relieve the accumulated pressure. The annular protrusion is provided with a passage through which the accumulated pressure is introduced to the outer lip.",
