The vacuum cleaner according to the present invention includes: a main body incorporating a suction motor; a nozzle for sucking in impurities together with air using suction force generated in the main body; a handle provided between the nozzle and the main body to be grasped by a user and in which control commands to the suction motor are inputted; a measuring device selectively mounted at one side of the main body for measuring and displaying power information in real time via bidirectional communications with respect to a power supply source; an auxiliary power supply device connected to a power supply network including an energy management system, which is connected to the measuring device for supplying electricity to home appliances on the basis of the power information supplied from the outside, and charged via the power supply source which is relatively low-priced; and a cleaner power management section provided in the main body for selecting power supplied from any one of the auxiliary power supply device or the power supply network to use the same as the operation power of the suction motor. According to the above, the vacuum cleaner may be operated at relatively low costs.",
