Valve assembly for a high pressure fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump

The valve assembly has two valves arranged concentrically with respect to a common longitudinal axis (A). The former valve is formed as an inlet valve (1) and the latter valve is formed as an outlet valve (2). A pump working space (3) is connected with low pressure volume (12) over a through opening (9). The low pressure volume is formed in a valve body (10) or a housing part (11) of high-pressure fuel pump. The low pressure volume surrounds valve element (7) of the former valve, where the valve element is formed as hollow body.
