Method for managing industrial trucks and industrial truck

The method involves transmitting the data from a control computer (4) via a data transmission unit (3) to a central service computer (9). The malfunction of the industrial truck (2) is detected by the control computer. The fault codes corresponding to the malfunctions of the industrial truck are generated by the control computer. The fault codes are transmitted to the central service computer by the data transmission unit. The instructions and/or information about replacement of required components are generated by the central service computer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) industrial truck; and (2) service computer.
