A control method for controlling the pilot gas supply to at least one burner assembly (15) of a gas turbine plant (1) provided with at least one pilot burner (20) includes the steps of: - supplying a pilot gas basis flow rate (Q P ) to the pilot burner (20); - calculating a gradient (GRAD) of the electric power (P EL ) supplied by the gas turbine plant (1); - calculating a pilot gas flow rate variation (”Q P ) on the basis of the calculated gradient (GRAD); - modifying the pilot gas basis flow rate (Q P ) on the basis of the calculated pilot gas flow rate (”Q P ).
