Switching assembly for a protection device for electrical assemblies

The arrangement has two parallel connected backup channels (PS1, PS4) that are provided with current measuring units and switches. The backup channels have defined resistance values such that a total current is divided symmetrically between the backup channels. A central control logic unit (SL) controls and switches the parallel backup channels. Safety relays are provided for electrical insulation or protection.
