During the charging of a storage battery 3 for equipment, a controller C1 controls a DC power supply unit 2 such that the DC power supply unit generates a DC power necessary for charging the storage battery 3 for equipment from an AC power of a commercial power supply 20 and allows the DC power to be supplied from the DC power supply unit 2 to the storage battery 3 for equipment; and when a storage battery 21 for driving power as a load is connected, the controller C1 allows the DC power supply unit 2 and the storage battery 3 for equipment to form a series circuit, controls the DC power supply unit 2 such that the DC power supply unit generates a predetermined DC power from the AC power of the commercial power supply 20, adds the predetermined DC power to the DC power of the storage battery 3 for equipment to generate a DC power necessary for charging the storage battery 21 for driving power, and allows the generated DC power to be supplied to the storage battery 21 for driving power.",
