Device for operating the flap valve in an exhaust gas facility

The device has a connection device (3) for producing an active connection between a drive (1) i.e. direct current (DC) motor, and a flap valve. Bowden cables (2) engage at the flap valve in respective opening and closing directions. The cables are guided on sides of the drive and/or sides of the flap valve by drive disks (8, 10). The drive disks are inserted in a dual-shell housing. The disks are identically designed below each other as sheet metal molded parts. A stepper motor adjusts intermediate positions of the flap valve.
