Device for depicting visual information in a motor vehicle

The device has a motor vehicle interior trim component designed as an instrument panel (1) having a vehicle inner chamber facing toward a component surface. A stationary or mobile rear projection unit (4) i.e. small LED-projecting unit, is arranged on a rear side of the panel, where the rear side of the panel turns away from the inner chamber. The component surface includes a transparent upper surface region made of plastic material, where the surface region forms a projection surface (3) for visual information to be displayed. The projection surface is associated to the projection unit.
