The method involves connecting the wind energy plant network (16) with the wind turbine generator (13) of a wind power plant (11). The wind energy plant network is connected with the powered machine generator (23) of an internal combustion engine (22). The magnetic excitation of the powered machine generator is increased from zero, when no electrical energy is supplied by the wind turbine generator.
