CHARGING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CHARGING SYSTEM
DRIVE
November 7, 2012
A charging system and a method for controlling the charging system are disclosed, which can perform efficient charging with limited supplied electric power when a plurality of parked electric vehicles are simultaneously charged. The charging system includes an electric power usage measuring device (2), a charging control device (3), a parked car number detecting device (4), a first charging device (5), and a second charging device (6). In a case where vehicles parked in a parking area are divided into a first vehicle group owned by individuals and a second vehicle group shared by a plurality of people, when the number of parked cars (or parking rate) of the first vehicle group is a predetermined value or more (for example, when 70% or more of the number of registered cars of the first vehicle group are parked), the first vehicle group is preferentially charged, and when the number of parked cars (or parking rate) of the first vehicle group is smaller than the predetermined value, the second vehicle group is preferentially charged.
