An energy harvesting system (10), designed to supply an electrical load (18), comprising: a transducer (2), configured for converting energy coming from an energy source external to said system (10) into an electrical signal (V TRANSD ) ; a first storage element (12), coupled to the transducer (2) for receiving at input the electrical signal and configured for storing electrical energy; a second storage element (16), coupled to the electrical load (18) for supplying the electrical load and configured for storing electrical energy; and a switch (14), connected to the first and second electrical-energy storage elements (12, 16), which can be operated for coupling and, alternatively, uncoupling, electrically the first and second storage elements (12, 16) to/from one another.
