At least some of the stator rows are variable stator rows, the stator vanes (24, 124, 224) of which are mounted on trunnions (26, 126, 226) passing through the casing (22, 122, 222), and are pivotable relative to the casing (22, 122, 222). An actuator arm (28, 128) is coupled to each trunnions (26, 126, 226), outside the casing (22, 122, 222).
