The method includes: receiving via the control device a supply demand, activating a compressed air generator to provide compressed air at a compressed air connection when the control device receives a supply demand, identifying a regeneration execution time depending on the supply demand and/or a degree of saturation of an air dryer, activating a switching valve to open a branch line when the control device identifies a regeneration execution time, and returning compressed air from the branch line counter to a filling direction through a pneumatic main line to regenerate the air dryer. A control device is for carrying out the method. A vehicle includes such a control device.",
