Motor mount with adaptive decoupling means

The electric motor-mount (1) has a receiving unit (11) for receiving an electric motor (2). The receiving unit is connected to an outer ring (10) by a decoupling unit (12). An adaptive device (15) modifies mechanical characteristics e.g. stiffness and dimension, of the decoupling unit by passing electric current through the decoupling unit or by changing temperature of the decoupling unit. A heating element (25) e.g. resistive heating element, is arranged in contact with the decoupling unit. An independent claim is also included for an adaptive decoupling system.
