A lifting apparatus for tyre changing machines

The lifting apparatus for tyre demounting machines (1) comprises a fixed bearing frame (5), adapted to be fixed to the base (2) of a tyre demounting machine; a first movable frame (7) having support means (11;108) for a wheel (R) and pivotally hinged to a hinge point (6) of said fixed frame (5) for rotatably lifting or rotatably lowering the wheel (R); a lifting arrangement mounted to said bearing frame; and a second movable frame (12) supported by said lifting arrangement and reciprocating parallel to itself between lifting and lowering, said first frame comprising coupling means (16) for connection to said second movable frame, to rotate while said second frame is so lifted and lowered.
