It is an object of the present invention to omit a pulse sensor or other such devices, thereby making it possible to perform position control of a construction member of a vehicle seat at low cost. A vehicle seat of the present invention is configured to operate a construction member utilizing a rotative force of a motor, which may include a current detection means configured to detect a load current (Vi) of the motor, a voltage detection means configured to detect a power source voltage (Vb) of the motor, and a position computing means configured to compute a rotating speed (N) of the motor each time at intervals of a predetermined time (T) utilizing the load current value (Vi) detected by the current detection means and the voltage value (Vb) detected by the voltage detection means, and to compute a position (W) of the construction member (a reclining angle (W)) based on the rotating speed (N) computed each time at intervals of the predetermined time (T).
