A charge air guide element (23) for an internal combustion engine (1, 100) may comprise a mounting section (41) comprising a through hole (42) configured as a passage for a cylinder unit (16A-16I) of the internal combustion engine (1, 100) in a mounted state of the charge air guide element; and a charge air guide section (40) defining a first passage (48A) extending from an inlet opening (44A) on a first side of the charge air guide section (40) to a first outlet opening (44B) at a second side of the charge air guide section (40), and a second passage (48B) fluidly connecting a second outlet opening (44C) with the first passage and the second outlet opening (44C) is configured for providing a fluid connection from the inlet opening (44A) to a charge air inlet of the cylinder unit (16A-16I) in the mounted state.
