Cross-member for vehicle seat

The motor vehicle seat crossbeam has a tubular main body and a receiving section (6a,6b) that is arranged on the base body for rotation proof arrangement of a coupling unit. The receiving section is arranged coaxial to a base body (2) and a reinforcing pipe (3a,3b) lies at inner or outer surface of the base body. The reinforcing pipe is manufactured by joint deformation, particularly cold deformation of body and reinforcement tube having a cross-section different from a circular shape.
