A battery voltage detector includes a voltage detection circuit (D1) and a voltage processor (M). The voltage detection circuit (D1) detects a cell voltage of a first battery cell (C1). The voltage detection circuit (D1) includes a plurality of capacitors which are simultaneously charged by the first battery cell (C1). The voltage processor (M) processes the detection result of the first cell voltage. The voltage detection circuit (D1) outputs the voltages between both terminals of the plurality of capacitors as the cell voltages to the voltage processor (M) at different timing. The voltage processor (M) judges whether or not a false detection of the cell voltage occurs based on the cell voltages obtained from the voltage detection circuit (D1) at different timing.
